Making of Space journey by jamajurabaev Making of Space journey by jamajurabaev
So here is the making of my Space Journey piece.

Still playin with lasso tool. This time i`ve started to generate basic forms in Alchemy, using gradients.

When i`ve ended up with the first picture, i saw this huge spaceship.

The rest was the detailing).

sorry for blur and motion effects, i simply love them!
I want my pictures to look like a movie stills)

Very nice result. What type of brush did you selected in Alchemy to generate the base shapes in your first pic? Tracing Shapes, speed shapes or pull shapes...i have no idea...Thanks!

It looks like you blurred it then sharpened...I'm a little puzzled. Why? The result is great, though. Post as many tuts as you want.

If only Photoshop's directional blur was more in line with the wat moblur looks like in photographs... If I were you I'd use noise and select only the low alpha edges and dirty them up a bit with some grain.

Hi, thanks a lot for valuable advices))

I use radial blur.. direction blur is a bit lame.
Coming for noise.. do you mean dark areas?

i am messing with this one in After Effects now.. will try to implement them there)
Stay tuned.. i will need your advice!)

I usually use Shake to apply effects, but I found out in Photoshop how to do it. When using the zoom/radial blur filter, set the quality to 'draft' or 'good', but definitely not 'best'. This increases the noisiness of the motion blur and better reflects the way that a photograph exposes. 'Best' is too clean and breaks the photograph look, and looking like a photograph is the gateway to realism.

More importantly though, THE most important thing in motion blurring is that the super whites (FFFFFF) in your picture or super colors (clipping on a particular color channel) streak, rather than blur. When exposing things like lights or harsh reflections burn into the light sensitive medium, carving a bright path rather than blurring out (think the stars in Star Wars when jumping to lightspeed)

You "making of" always look like it was so easy to create :D
But then, when it comes to create something by ourselves it turns out that it's veeeeery difficult...

Great work! and thanks for sharing this :)

they do look like movie stills XD especially with the "we're under attack" subtitle. It would look even more like a still if you had black bars on the top and bottom.
